Step 1
Check in
Volunteers scan the event’s QR code with their own phone, and scan out when they leave.
For volunteer events
Volunteers scan in and out. The organization verifies. Every hour gets a record anyone can check.
The coordinator home and a volunteer’s phone, drawn from the app.A volunteer’s phone. Demo data, made-up names.
How it works
Step 1
Volunteers scan the event’s QR code with their own phone, and scan out when they leave.
Step 2
Hours arrive pre-filled. The coordinator confirms them in about two minutes; every change needs a reason.
Step 3
Each volunteer gets a record with a link anyone can check. No account needed to read it.
Where this started
On paper, Feb–Mar 2026: the SycaMore team’s planting pilot with Our City Forest, before this app existed. 203 counts sign-ins across four events, not different people.
Who it’s for
For coordinators
For volunteers
Trust and safety
Under 13 can’t join. Ages 13 to 17 need a guardian’s OK to share a record, and get announcements only, no direct messages.
The leave-the-area check is off by default. When it’s on, only the time someone left is kept, never coordinates.
Claude can draft rows from a paper sheet. Nothing saves until a coordinator confirms each one, and it never invents a time.
Pricing
Planned prices. Nothing is charged during the demo.

Yes, always. Checking in, your hours, share links, badges and Discover cost volunteers nothing. Nothing is charged to anyone during the demo.
No. Check-in is a web page: scan the event’s QR code with the phone camera, or type the 6-character code.
At verify, one tap fills in everyone who didn’t scan out, counted to the end of the event. Their record prints the reason, so nobody mistakes it for a scanned time.
Every change needs a reason, and the record shows the captured hours next to the adjusted ones. Shifts over 8 hours are flagged. After verifying, the rows are read-only.
A public page at the share link: VERIFIED or REVOKED, the organization’s statement, the captured and adjusted hours, and who to contact. No login needed, and search engines are asked not to index it. How to read a record
Set-up takes about a minute, then a practice event teaches the rest. Volunteers never pay.
